Delete Your Account

Account deletion is permanent. Once your account is deleted, your profile and personal data cannot be recovered. Please read this page carefully before proceeding.

1. How to Delete Your Account

Primary Method — In-App (Recommended)

The easiest way to delete your account is directly from the Rizq app:

  1. Open the Rizq app on your phone.
  2. Go to Profile or Settings.
  3. Tap Delete Account.
  4. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

Your account and personal data will be permanently deleted immediately.

Fallback Method — Email Request

If you no longer have access to the app, you can request account deletion by email:

  1. Send an email to [email protected].
  2. Use the subject line: Account Deletion Request.
  3. Include your registered phone number in the message body.
  4. Our team will verify your identity via OTP before proceeding.

Email requests are processed within 7 business days.

2. What Data Is Deleted

When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed:

  • Account profile (name, phone number)
  • Saved delivery addresses
  • Shopping cart contents
  • Push notification tokens
  • Wallet balance — any remaining balance will be refunded before deletion, or forfeited if zero

3. What Data Is Retained

Some data may be retained after account deletion as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

  • Order history — retained for legal and accounting purposes under Egyptian commercial law for up to 5 years. Order records are anonymized where possible.
  • Anonymized analytics data — aggregate usage data with no personally identifiable information may be retained indefinitely for product improvement purposes.
